The WLDFIR@USA group is used to keep other packet radio users (mainly other retired firefighters) apprised of wildfires.
There are only a couple of things to keep in mind.
- We are reporting FACTUAL information as we obtain it. This should only come through official channels.
- If you don't know how to use WildCAD, InciWeb or Watch Duty and want to participate, please contact Jason, WY7EMT.
- Anything you enter on the submission form will be PUBLIC. Be sure that's what you want to do.
- NONE of the forms actually sends anything out.
To prevent the general public from posting to amateur radio bulletin board systems, you will have to enter the information and then
CUT & PASTE the formatted information as instructed into the BBS's webmail page, via a terminal/TNC or by a desktop client.

- Are your PETS safe? Get THEM to a safe location before worrying about this.
- Remember, this is done as a HOBBY for other retired firefighters. WE ARE NOT DISPATCHERS.
